So when I write, I have to be listening to music. I have always been this way. The songs should correlate to the emotion I want to portray, a scene that popped into my head when I was listening to it, or maybe even draw inspiration from the lyrics.

I’m also aware there are some people who love listening to music as they read and I wanted this book to be as immersive as possible for the reader. I wanted them to be able to feel like they were sitting there with me as I was writing. To do this, I went back through my playlists and wrote down every song I had used, numbered them, and then added the corresponding number under the title of each short story and poem.
