If You Ever Wonder

(17, 20, 30, 37,43, 50, 60, 64, 68)

I still look for you

in all the places I know you’ll never be—

in strangers’ smiles, in passing cars,

in the soft blur of cities you’ve never seen.

You haunt the corners of my dreams,

a face I almost touch before I wake.

Every morning feels like forgetting you

all over again.

I used to think fate was kinder—

that two souls so bound

could never be undone.

But loving you taught me otherwise.

You were my forever,

and losing you was the price of it.

If you are happy, then I will bear the ache.

Just know—no matter where you are—

there is someone who still loves you,

quietly, endlessly, always.
